![]() ![]() Even when you think you are well prepared, if you haven’t taken strong precautions against German vehicles there is a good chance they will cause more than a handful of casualties for you, due to their annoying ability to hit you with rapid fire from positions where you can’t see them or hit them back effectively. I put the emphasis here on minimal casualties because, if you are not well prepared in this mission, you could easily see your VPs overrun by German vehicles (scout cars, Pumas, Luchses, flak-HTs, StuGs, Panzer IVs, even a King Tiger) and high-vet elite infantry (fallschirmjaegers, obersoldaten), resulting in heavy casualties and requiring you to crtl-alt-del to start the mission over. I describe here a strategy that generally works well (using Dog Co., with a map difficulty level of 1-3) for an easy victory, decent veterancy accumulation, and minimal casualties. A meter at the top of the UI tells you how many German units are still left. ![]() The Germans have no artillery or air power. The object is to erect hasty defenses and hold three points against five increasingly powerful attacks by German infantry and armor. This defense-against-attack-waves mission is a good one for Dog Co.-mainly because of their superior artillery-although any of your companies should be able to manage it. ![]()
